Report: Minister says sees GDP growth higher than 1.2% in 2023
ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) growth will apparently be higher than the Economic Development Ministry's forecast of 1.2% in 2023, Minister Maxim Reshetnikov told Rossiya 24 in an interview on Thursday.
“It will be higher than our estimates, it is already clear. I will not provide figures, but apparently higher,” he said.
In May, Reshetnikov did not exclude that the growth might be slightly higher than the 1.2% forecast.
The central bank expects the country's economy to grow in the range of 0.5–2% in 2023.
